How it works, and what it costs.

A residential damp survey costs from £950. Commercial and complex instructions are quoted on scope within one working day. Site inspection typically within 5 working days of instruction; the report follows within 3 working days of inspection. We diagnose the cause — we never sell or carry out the repairs.

The process

1 - Instruct

Call or email with the address and a brief description. Fee confirmed and inspection date agreed, usually the same day.

2 - Inspect

Jonathan attends personally: visual survey, moisture profiling, thermal imaging and humidity readings as the building requires. Typically 1–2 hours for a house.

3 - Report

Within 3 working days: cause, mechanism, evidence, and what will actually fix it. Concise by design.

4 - Invoice

Payable on delivery of the report. No hidden extras, no follow-on sales visit — there is nothing to sell you.

Common questions

Why don't you sell damp proofing?

Because a diagnosis is only trustworthy when the person making it earns nothing from the treatment. Independence is the product.

Is a free contractor survey not enough?

A free survey is a quotation visit. If the recommendation is wrong, you pay for works that don't fix the problem — and pay again later.

What do you need on the day?

Access to affected rooms, and where possible to floor voids, lofts and external elevations. Occupied properties are fine.
