About Jonathan Durndell
I'm Jonathan Durndell, a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) and I carry out every survey myself. I set this practice up on one principle: the diagnosis is only worth having if the person giving it has nothing to gain from the cure.
I don't sell damp proofing, I don't take commission, and I don't pass your details to contractors. I inspect, I find the cause, I write it up plainly, and I invoice. That's the whole service — and for insurers, housing providers and anyone accountable for someone else's money or safety, it's the service that holds up.
Most of my casework is the damp that others have misread — "condensation" that turns out to be a leaking drain, a cold uninsulated wall, a failed detail. Finding the real cause is the job.
